Time sure does fly when you're having fun planning a wedding! It feels like just yesterday we were saying "just 4 more months!!" 25 days from now we'll be celebrating our big day and we are so, so, so excited. Things are coming together and we are so ready to celebrate with our closest friends and family.
Now... to catch you up on what we've been up to!! My new job has kept me VERY busy since April, when I started. (I love my job, by the way. ) The month of May absolutely FLEW by with Matt & Shelley's wedding, a 12 day work training in New Jersey immediately following and my bachelorette party in Vegas over Memorial weekend.
Trae has done a fabulous job sharing in all the wedding prep along the way, which has helped keep both of our "visions" in mind and the "to do" list manageable. Pretty good "TEAM SCHULTZ IN TRAINING"... if I do say so, myself.
We had a great time at Matt & Shelley's wedding. It was so fun catching up with friends from near and far over a fabulous celebration of love. Oh, and Lakeway Resort was stunning! Trae and I have already discussed taking an Austin vacation there in the future. BEAUTIFUL!
Like I mentioned, the day after The Rutherford Wedding, I left for a 12 day training in New Jersey. Trae flew in to steal me away from my clinical studies and take me to NYC for the weekend before I had to be back in meetings on Monday morning--It was a MUCH needed break from work & wedding! The cherry on top of the weekend was that my parents happened to be in NYC at the same time to celebrate mothers day and Tate & Megan took the train in from DC. We got in some good NYC Shopping (street vendors, China town, Broadway, H&M), entered a lottery for a front row ticket to see 'Wicked' (but weren't called), did some sightseeing, and ate well. A cold weekend...but great weekend for us.
And Finally, my Bachelorette Party. While I can't give away all the fun stories ..."What happens in Vegas, STAYS in Vegas...", I can say it was an amazing trip with all my closest gals. Sharon and her Vegas connections hooked us up with an amazing HUGE suite, fitting all 6 of us comfortably. Lots of sight seeing for the few who had never been to Vegas, a few successful shopping trips (wedding shoes= done!), a front row ticket to a Vegas show and A LOT of Vegas fun. It was a trip I'll never forget, and was so thankful to share it with everyone.
