My Gosh!! HOW is it March already?!
While we are somewhat shocked that March is already upon us... I have to say I'm not sad to see all that cold, wet, YUCKY weather in our past for a while. And March brings us Daylight Savings time which means MORE SUN!!! YYAAAAAAAYYYYY!!!!!! This pale skin needs some of that sunlight!!
In true Schultz-style, we have been keeping busy since our last blog entry. I finished my half marathon and decided that while it was a great accomplishment, I'm not signing up for any full marathons in the near future. :) We did some additional renovations on our home adding functional kitchen cabinet space and a nice additional granite serving counter just in time to host a close friends wedding shower this weekend. Oh, and in the process of planning this shower.... I cleared up the plural spelling of my new last name!!!! HAHAHA
Did anyone notice the blog name changing slightly to add the "E" in "Schultzes"? Coming from a last name of "Young", I didn't know the "z" rule in formal names until the invitation company corrected me when planning our invitation to our friends shower. Needless to say, I won't forget THAT one! Rookie Schultz mistake. (and very funny)
March brings a busy work month for Trae and I.. lots of business meetings and dedication to the grind. April brings our friends wedding in Florida that we are so looking forward to attending over Easter weekend and some family time.

Happy 2011!!
Happy New Year to everyone!!
WOW, 2010 was great to us. We are so thankful for all our dear friends and family who helped make 2010 the most special year of our lives.
While 2010 was amazing in so many different ways, it gave us a few challenges to overcome and kept us VERY BUSY in the meantime. Both mine and Trae's new jobs are a complete blessing- we love our jobs and the companies we work for but WHEW! we are busy!!!
Trae now works for Morgan Stanley and I work in for Warner Chilcott, a Pharmaceutical company that specializes in womens health. Our work hours are long, but we are learning a lot and enjoying our careers.
In addition to the new gig, I decided in October to train for my first 1/2 Marathon. I have never liked running... in fact, I've hated running and have avoided running more than 3 miles at a time for several years. Several fit friends talked me into trying it and after a motivated moment and an $80 entry free later.... I'm signed up. I'm currently up to 8 miles and on a 6 day hiatus with a strained hamstring. Let's pray I can stay on my strict ice/stretch routine to get this thing back in working order! Jan. 30th is the 3M 1/2 Marathon. Prayers appreciated.
As busy as we seem to be, we are sure to plan out special moments for each other. Since next Thanksgiving's UT game is in College Station, Trae decided it would be a good time for us to take a trip together. I've never been over seas and we both agree we need to get some exploring under our belt before we are toting any babies with us. While we are still researching, Spain and Portugal are main contenders and I'm already VERY excited.
As Trae and I approach our 6 month anniversary, we feel very blessed. We have been asked to be a part of 3 of our dear friends weddings in 2011 taking us to Florida, South Padre and Jamaica. We wish you all a blessed 2011... we promise more blogging updates from us on all our world travels!

Team Schultz, it is.
We're married!!!!
The entire weekend of July 3rd was a the happiest time of our lives. We felt the abundance of love surrounding us from our friends and family and our hearts were exploding with joy every minute of the weekend.
Thank you, again to everyone who came to celebrate with us. We cherish the memories we held with you all on July 3rd.
The wedding was the largest project Trae and I have ever taken on and we were so proud of the way all our little details came together to be our perfect Schultz celebration.
We are still waiting on the video from the weekend, but tonight we got the link to all the photos from the wedding.
Please enjoy!!

The Final Countdown...
With the final wedding countdown in effect, I couldn't leave out the final wedding showers thrown for us at the Daily Grill by the Parkers, Maurers, Jasinski's, Mark & Amy Trevino, Kris & Leisha Ehlert, Rhonda & Paul Ehlert & Leslie Knudsen, and the Glen Rose shower thrown by Trae's Aunt Janice, Carol & Linda, Lynn, Gabrielle & Justin and June.
What's better than celebrating with our great, close-knit group of friends? We all enjoyed catching up on the beautiful Spring day in Austin and had fun discussing past weddings and future celebrations to come.
At 25 days, we're at our final countdown... but to take a second and look back at the past 10 months, it's been a fun & exciting 10 months full of love. We are so grateful for all our family and friends who have helped make this engagement a special one for us.
Love, Team Schultz-in-Training

Time Flies ...
Time sure does fly when you're having fun planning a wedding! It feels like just yesterday we were saying "just 4 more months!!" 25 days from now we'll be celebrating our big day and we are so, so, so excited. Things are coming together and we are so ready to celebrate with our closest friends and family.
Now... to catch you up on what we've been up to!! My new job has kept me VERY busy since April, when I started. (I love my job, by the way. ) The month of May absolutely FLEW by with Matt & Shelley's wedding, a 12 day work training in New Jersey immediately following and my bachelorette party in Vegas over Memorial weekend.
Trae has done a fabulous job sharing in all the wedding prep along the way, which has helped keep both of our "visions" in mind and the "to do" list manageable. Pretty good "TEAM SCHULTZ IN TRAINING"... if I do say so, myself.
We had a great time at Matt & Shelley's wedding. It was so fun catching up with friends from near and far over a fabulous celebration of love. Oh, and Lakeway Resort was stunning! Trae and I have already discussed taking an Austin vacation there in the future. BEAUTIFUL!
Like I mentioned, the day after The Rutherford Wedding, I left for a 12 day training in New Jersey. Trae flew in to steal me away from my clinical studies and take me to NYC for the weekend before I had to be back in meetings on Monday morning--It was a MUCH needed break from work & wedding! The cherry on top of the weekend was that my parents happened to be in NYC at the same time to celebrate mothers day and Tate & Megan took the train in from DC. We got in some good NYC Shopping (street vendors, China town, Broadway, H&M), entered a lottery for a front row ticket to see 'Wicked' (but weren't called), did some sightseeing, and ate well. A cold weekend...but great weekend for us.
And Finally, my Bachelorette Party. While I can't give away all the fun stories ..."What happens in Vegas, STAYS in Vegas...", I can say it was an amazing trip with all my closest gals. Sharon and her Vegas connections hooked us up with an amazing HUGE suite, fitting all 6 of us comfortably. Lots of sight seeing for the few who had never been to Vegas, a few successful shopping trips (wedding shoes= done!), a front row ticket to a Vegas show and A LOT of Vegas fun. It was a trip I'll never forget, and was so thankful to share it with everyone.
